Scientist Disputes Evidence in Englewood Cliffs Killing
Man serving life in killing of his wife

A Florida scientist is claiming that a man convicted of throwing his wife off the Palisades in Englewood Cliffs couldn't have killed his wife, according to a report in the Record.
Jim Miekka, also described as a stock market "guru" and inventor, worked for months to calculate variables for various ways a person could fall from the cliffs, the report said.
Miekka said his work proves that Stephen Scharf could not have killed his wife by throwing her over the cliff, Jody Scharf, the newspaper reported. Stephen Scharf is serving a life sentence in the slaying.

“I’m satisfied that the jury had ample qualified evidence to reach their determination,” Molinelli told the newspaper.
