Englewood Liquor Store Robbed Twice In February: Police
Police are looking for a suspect in the second robbery, which occurred Feb. 17.
ENGLEWOOD, NJ — A city liquor store was robbed twice this month, police announced Monday.
Oprandy's Wine & Liquor Store at 481 North Dean St. was robbed the afternoon of Feb. 17. More than $1,000 was stolen from several cash registers, Chief Lawrence Suffern said in a news release. The man wore dark-colored clothes, gloves, and a light-colored mask, he said.
In the Feb. 8 robbery, a man wearing a large piece of plastic over his face entered the store, went behind the counter, and stolen money from a lottery cash register, Suffern said. Store owners chased the man from the store, and he dropped some money and his disguise, he said.
