Englewood Woman Held Captive Over Facebook Page, Police Say
Police say drunken Englewood man was upset over wife's social networking activity.

An Englewood man is accused of assaulting and holding his wife captive in their 3rd Ward home for six hours after a dispute over her Facebook page, city police said Wednesday.
Bernardo Rompich, 40, spent Father’s Day drinking, and reportedly got into an argument with his 37-year-old wife, according to police. The woman went to police headquarters late Monday morning to report the alleged assault and had fresh injuries around her body, police said.
“It never ceases to amaze those of us in law enforcement how many domestics occur because of Facebook and other social networking sites,” said Englewood Detective Capt. Tim Torell.

Rompich was arrested later in the day on charges of third degree terroristic threats, third degree criminal restraint and simple assault, Torell said. He was ordered held at the Bergen County Jail on $36,500 bail.
Small children were in the home during the reported attack, but were not directly involved, according to Torell. State child welfare authorities were alerted.
