4 Bergen County Players Won Powerball Prizes In 1 Week, NJ Lottery Says

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Three lottery players who purchased Powerball tickets at stores in Bergen County last week have won $50,000 prizes, the NJ Lottery announced Monday. And a fourth Bergen County player won using the app Jackpocket, a spokesperson said.

Besides those four winners, two other players won smaller amounts with scratchoff tickets purchased locally, a spokesperson said Monday.

The Details

On Saturday, a player won $50,000 with a Powerball ticket purchased in Carlstadt, and another won the same amount with a ticket bought in Englewood, a NJ Lottery spokesperson said. The same day, a third person used Jackpocket in Bergen County to win the same amount.

Last Wednesday, a Powerball player won $50,000 with a ticket bought in Teaneck, the spokesperson said.

Two people also won scratchoffs in the county.

On Sunday, someone won $10,000 with an Emerald 5X scratchoff ticket bought in Englewood. And on Wednesday, someone won $20,000 by purchasing a scratchoff ticket in Lodi.

The rundown of local stores and winners is:

• Sunday: $10,000, Emerald 5X, 7-Eleven, Grand Avenue, Englewood.
• Saturday: $50,000, Powerball, ShopRite Liquors, Nathaniel Place, Englewood. Also: Quick Chek, Washington Avenue, Carlstadt. And Jackpocket app, used by a Bergen County resident.
• Wednesday: $50,000, Powerball, 7-Eleven, Cedar Lane, Carlstadt. Also, $20,000, $250K Crossword, Main Street, Lodi.

The stores that sold the tickets will receive a bonus.
