Johnson Elected President of Englewood Democratic Club

Fundraising, youth involvement among new president's goals.

Englewood Assemblyman Gordon M. Johnson was elected as president of the city's Democratic Club March 28.

In a statement, Johnson said his goals included reaching out to young people and fortifying the club's fundraising program.

"One of my goals for my two year term is to make our political process more inclusive, especially by engaging the youth of our community. I will focus on making the Club a venue where concerned residents can come together and discuss community issues and bring those issues forth to state, county and local elected officials," Johnson said.
