Judge Orders Mediation in LG Lawsuit

A judge has ordered all parties involved with a suit seeking to block construction of LG Electronics USA's 143-foot tall Englewood Cliffs building to seek an out of court settlement, according to court documents. 

You may have noticed a few design changes taking place on the corner of Sylvan and East Palisade Avenue in Englewood Cliffs, the site of the old Royal Cliffs Diner. Central Kitchen, described as "a sleek Contemporary New American Restaurant with an Italian twist," is scheduled to open in early April.

The Englewood Cliffs council has appointed Nora Jobson to fill the seat of Ilan Plawker, the body's longest serving member who resigned last month. 

Superstorm Sandy impacted 1,944 businesses in Englewood and inflicted damage on 13 homes,according to an analysis of state data by NJSpotlight.com.
