Route 4 Eastbound to Close For Bridge Project
Motorists encouraged to leave extra time, plan other routes during weekend highway closures.

The eastbound lanes of Route 4 will be closed overnight this weekend while work to replace a section of the highway’s deteriorated bridge deck over Flat Rock Brook in Englewood continues, the state Department of Transportation said.
Route 4 eastbound, east of Grand Avenue, will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday, and at 9 p.m. Saturday through 9 a.m. Sunday. Contractor Creamer-Sanzari Inc. will be installing a new prefabricated structure bridge deck, officials said.
Transportation officials provided the following details on the planned detours:* Traffic on Route 4 will be detoured using Teaneck Road southbound to Degraw Avenue/Fort Lee Road eastbound to I-95 northbound to the Fletcher Avenue exit (Exit 72).

* Local traffic will be detoured using Grand Avenue southbound to Fort Lee Road/Degraw Avenue westbound to the Frank W. Burr jughandle to get on Degraw Avenue eastbound to I-95 northbound to the Fletcher Avenue exit (Exit 72).
* Traffic coming from Route 17 or Route 4 and 208 east of Paramus heading for the George Washington Bridge will be directed to Route 17 southbound to I-80 eastbound and then I-95 northbound straight to the George Washington Bridge.
