Thousands of people were without power in the Englewood-area Thursday morning after wires came down on Van Nostrand Avenue, officials said.
Widespread outages were reported in Englewood, Englewood Cliffs, Fort Lee and Tenafly, according to a Public Service Electric and Gas spokeswoman.

Crews were working to fix the problem and service could be restored by around 10 a.m., the spokeswoman said. The outage was first reported around 6:15 a.m.
