Man Sexually Assaulted Child In Bergen County Home: Prosecutor

ELMWOOD PARK, NJ — An Elmwood Park man was arrested Tuesday for having sexually assaulted a child last week, prosecutors said.

Alonso E. Juarez Rojano, 27, of Elmwood Park, was charged Tuesday with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

Prosecutors said that on Monday, the Elmwood Park Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile.

Investigators determined that Juarez Rojano had assaulted the child at an Elmwood Park home on Saturday.

Juarez Rojano was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a detention hearing in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
