Palisades Park Acupuncturist Charged as Unauthorized
Police say Ercheng Zhang, 20, was not licensed to practice acupuncture.

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli announced that charges have been filed against Erchang Zhang of Palisades Park on charges of the Unauthorized Practice of Acupuncture. The charges are the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office White Collar Crimes Unit.
On August 13, 2014, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Palisades Park Police Department charged Zhang with the Unauthorized Practice of Acupuncture after a 6 month joint undercover investigation with the Division of Consumer Affairs- Enforcement Bureau. The investigation revealed that Zhang provided acupuncture services from his residence but does not possess a New Jersey acupuncture license nor has he ever.
Zhang was charged with one count of Unauthorized Practice of Acupuncture. He was served at his residence and released. Zhang is scheduled to appear in Central Municipal Court on August 18, 2014.
