Horse Tramples Woman At NJ Farm, Sends Her To Hospital: Report

The incident happened on Friday afternoon, according to NJ.com.

GLEN GARDNER, NJ — A woman was hospitalized with injuries after being trampled by a horse at a farm in Hunterdon County on Friday, according to NJ.com.

Around 12:45 p.m., Lebanon Township Police went to Westphalen Farms for a 65-year-old woman who said her finger was dangling from her hand and an injured leg, according to NJ.com.

Police told NJ.com that the horse got startled by a loud noise from an excavator, causing it to throw the woman to the ground and trample her as it ran away.

She was taken to Morristown Medical Center with injuries.

Lebanon Township Police did not immediately respond to Patch's request for more information.
