About Town: Children’s Programs at the Library
Summer programs your children will enjoy.
No doubt, the is among the finest libraries in the county. In this bleak economy, while many Bergen County libraries were furloughing employees and severely reducing libraries’ operational hours, like neighboring Leonia, Fort Lee stood strong, understanding the cultural importance of the library’s role in the lives of its residents.
The library is vital to the community in so many ways, but perhaps not more so than in nurturing and encouraging children to read and learn. The seasoned staff of Fort Lee Library’s Children’s Room works hard to continually engage children of all ages by putting together creative programming throughout the year.
The Children’s Room is offering the following programs this summer. Mark your calendars and enjoy them all (and escape the heat)! These programs are a great way for your child to meet other children and for you to meet other parents in town.

Bring your children to the library and explore the shelves and displays to find the books that will excite your child. Children can read at home or at the library, keep track of the books they’ve read, and earn prizes along the way. This program is designed for children of all ages.
