Fort Lee Woman Charged In Fatal Hit-And-Run: Prosecutor

FORT LEE, NJ — A borough woman was arrested in the hit-and-run death of a woman Dec. 19, authorities have announced.

June Reiner, 70, of Palisades Avenue, was charged with leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision, said acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo.

Reiner was arrested following an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office and the Fort Lee Police Department.

Vera P. Zozulevich was struck twice in the hit-and-run while trying to cross Main Street Dec. 19, Calo previously said. Once by a box truck going west and again by Reiner, who was heading east, Calo said.

The driver of the box truck remained at the scene, but Reiner left, Calo said.

Reiner is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack Jan. 4.
