Middle School Math Team Take 5th Place at County Competition

Members of the Lewis F. Cole Middle School Math Team earned fifth place honors at the Math Counts Bergen-Hudson Regional Competition on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 under the direction of Ms. Sumedha Kumar, coach and facilitator of the program. 

Math Counts is a challenging and competitive math program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement for students in grades 6^th – 8^th grade.  Each competition consists of four parts; the sprint, target, team and countdown rounds.  The competitions are comprised of four levels:  school, chapter, state and national.  The students will be competing again in mid-March in the State Competition.
