Winter Wonderland's Back In Bergen County With Concerts, Tree Lighting, Ice Skating
The annual wintertime family destination at Van Saun Park continues with live music, skating, a tree lighting, and more this weekend.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — "Winter Wonderland," a group of events and attractions, opened for the season at Van Saun Park in Bergen County last weekend and continues this weekend with a concert lineup, tree lighting, and more.
The family destination will host activities each weekend and through winter break until early January. It's in its 10th year.
This year's Winter Wonderland includes ticketed ice skating, bumper cars, a carousel, a train, concerts, a beer garden, vendors, and a new attraction, Let it GLOW! A Holiday Lantern Spectacular.

There will also be special events including a tree lighting and menorah lighting this month. See below for schedules.
This Weekend's Lineup

The music lineup for this weekend includes punk rock, '90s pop, swing, and rhythm and blues.
Performances this weekend include:
- Friday, 6-8 p.m.: The Jersey Nimrods (Green Day Tribute)
- Saturday, 1-3 p.m.: Sam & The Fridays ('90s Pop & Rock)
- Sunday, 2-4 p.m.: The FrostKings (Swing, R&B, Blues)
Tree Lighting
Also on Saturday, the county will hold its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. The ceremony kicks off at 6 p.m. and requires a ticket.
The event will include music, a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and the announcement of the winner of the Municipal Tree Decoration Contest, "showcasing the creativity of towns across the county."
Dates And Tickets
Winter Wonderland is open this Friday from 4-9 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The ongoing attractions run on most Fridays through Sundays through Jan. 4, and every day during the last week in December. The calendar of hours is here.
All-access tickets for Winter Wonderland are $20 (seniors, veterans, and active military pay $10 plus an online service fee), but they're only $10 for general admission, plus an online service fee ($5 for seniors, veterans, military). Kids age 3 and under are free.
There are additional fees for various extras and attractions including skate rental, bumper cars, train rides, and the carousel.
Winter Wonderland is open Fridays from 4-9, Saturdays from 11-9, and Sundays 11-7. The ice rink is open Monday and Tuesdays 3-9 for now. The hours will be adjusted for holiday weekends.
