Watch: Bergen County Singer Wins Battle Round on 'The Voice'

Bergen County singing sensation Melissa Jimenez will live to sing another day on NBC’s The Voice. In a battle round episode that aired Monday night, Jimenez – a Fort Lee resident who is on Team Usher – battled Music Box, a power singer from Washington.

The two sang Alicia Keys’s Girl on Fire. After the performance, judges Shakira and Blake Shelton recommended Usher pick Music Box for his team, and Adam Levine chose Jimenez.

In the end, Jimenez won out, with Usher saying that it was a tough decision between the two, but that he was looking forward to teaching Jimenez.
