An investigation into the crash revealed that the driver, who was later determined to be Delgado-Ortega, was driving a 2004 Volvo S80 when the vehicle ran off the side of the road, Santiago said.

One juvenile was severely injured as a result of the crash, prosecutors said. The juvenile was then rushed to a local medical center, where he later succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, Nov. 13.

The case has been assigned to Monmouth County Assistant Prosecutor Caitlin J. Sidley of the Major Crimes Bureau.
