‘Neglected, Malnourished’ Dogs Found In Upper Freehold Township: NJ State Police

Authorities are seeking the public's assistance to find the dogs' previous owner(s) after they were found on the side of the road.

UPPER FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — NJ State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in an animal cruelty investigation after three dogs were found on the side of the road in Upper Freehold Township.

On Jan. 23, police said troopers from Troop “C” Hamilton Station responded to the area of Burlington Path Road and Emleys Hill Road in Upper Freehold Township, where they found three small dogs that appeared malnourished and neglected on the side of the road.

Once the dogs were discovered, police said they were immediately evaluated by North Star Vets and have since been placed in the care of Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, where they were cleaned up, cared for and adopted into loving homes.

Though the dogs are now safe, NJ State Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying their previous owner(s).

If you recognize these dogs or know someone who may have abandoned them, police are asking the public to contact NJ State Police Troop “C” Hamilton Station Detective Bureau at 609-584-5000 ext. 5286. Anonymous tips are welcome.
