‘Code Blue’ Alert Opens Shelters Throughout Monmouth County
As cold weather continues throughout the area, here's where you can access warming centers.
MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — Monmouth County is calling a “Code Blue” alert as temperatures drop throughout the area.
As of Tuesday morning, the alert is set to last until Thursday at 9 a.m. “Code Blue” is put in place when temperatures drop below freezing (32 F) and conditions pose a threat to unsheltered individuals.

- Monmouth County Division of Social Services: 3000 Kozloski Road, Freehold (Monday–Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
- Hope and Comfort Center: 166-168 Shrewsbury Avenue, Red Bank (Check-in after 5 p.m.)
- Monmouth County Library (Manalapan): 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan (Monday–Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday–Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.)
- Monmouth County Library (Shrewsbury): 101 Route 35, Shrewsbury (Monday–Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday–Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.)
- The Feast NJ, Women’s Heart Warming Center: 90 Maple Avenue, Red Bank (Must call ahead at 732-749-2974, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
- Trinity Episcopal Church: 503 Asbury Avenue, Asbury Park (7 p.m. to 6 a.m.)
