UPDATE: Ely-Harmony Road Reopened After Fallen Tree

Ely-Harmony Road was closed because of a down tree. As of 12 a.m. on Thursday morning, the road has been reopened.

A Freehold Township road has been reopened after a fallen tree brought wires down across the roadway.

At 7:42 p.m. on Wednesday, Freehold Township Police reported that the tree was down between Siloam Road and Yaeger Road, causing the closure of Ely-Harmony Road.

Sgt. Raymond Piccolini stated that JCP&L was at the location of the fallen tree and was taking care of the wires. At that time, police were still waiting for a tree crew to respond and remove the tree.

Around midnight on Thursday morning, Ely-Harmony Road was reopened.
