Frigid Temperatures Keep Warming Centers Open In Monmouth County

For those in need of shelter, here's where you can access warming centers throughout the area:

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — Dangerously cold weather has come to Monmouth County as temperatures dip close to, or below, zero throughout the state.

According to the National Weather Service, arctic air is encompassing two-thirds of the eastern United States, with cold conditions expected to last throughout the week.

In Monmouth County, a "Code Blue" alert has been extended until Tuesday, Feb. 4. "Code Blue" is put in place when temperatures drop below freezing (32 F) and conditions pose a threat to unsheltered individuals.
