Freehold Hosting Holiday House Decorating Contest

FREEHOLD, NJ — Decorating your house with colorful lights, snowman statues and sleights pulled by reindeer is all about spreading the joy and holiday spirit, but a little friendly competition also wouldn't hurt.

Freehold borough residents can submit their holiday decorations to the Freehold Borough Recreation Commission's Holiday House Decorating Contest.

The deadline to enter is Dec. 10.

The houses will then be judged on Dec. 13 after sundown, so everyone participating should make sure they turn on the lights in their holiday display.

The winners will be announced on Dec. 13. at the Holiday Awards Ceremony on Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m. in front of the Hall of Records.
