Freehold Man Crashes Into Telephone Pole In Marlboro
A car crashed into a telephone pole on Tennent Road in Marlboro on Tuesday afternoon.

FREEHOLD, NJ — A 77-year-old Freehold Township man crashed his car into a telephone pole on Tennent Road in Marlboro on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened at around 4:20 p.m. and prompted the road to be closed between Harbor and Wooleytown road, according to the Marlboro Township Police Department.
A 2022 white Lexus left the roadway for an unknown reason and crashed into the pole, police said

The driver was checked out at the scene by members of the Marlboro First Aid Squad but was not taken to the hospital.
About 560 customers in Morganville were left without power, according to the Township of Marlboro.

As of Wednesday morning, the road was still closed, pending JCP&L repairs.
Morganville Fire Department responded to the scene as well.
The crash is being investigated by Ptlm. Ryan Stapleton of the Marlboro Township Police Department.
