The Freehold Borough Educational Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1999 by a group of civic, educational and business leaders to provide greater community support for the borough's public schools, according to its website.

The foundation, managed by a voluntary board of trustees, brings opportunities to students that might not otherwise be available because of budgetary constraints, supplementing tax-funded programs.
