New Grocery Store Opens In Monmouth County

FREEHOLD, NJ — Lidl U.S., the “super-est market in town,” has continued its expansion throughout New Jersey and opened its newest location in Freehold.

Located at 91 Trotters Way, the new store officially opened its doors to customers on Friday with a grand opening ceremony.

The German-based grocery chain offers a variety of products to customers (ranging from imported cheeses to seafood), and prides itself on “unique specialty items.”

“We’re the Super-EST Market in town for a reason, delivering unique options and unbeatable savings to our communities,” store officials said. “At Lidl US, shoppers experience a curated collection of private label picks, global imports, and everyday name brands.”

“From imported cheeses to fresh meats and seafood, you’ll get to experience the quality we’re famous for in Europe – without using your passport,” officials continued.

At Lidl US, customers are welcomed to a unique customer experience with features such as the “Midl of Lidl” aisle — where merchandise changes each week — or the store’s freshly baked breads and pastries, which are refilled throughout the day.

At the Freehold Lidl US location, the store has compiled a list of some of their favorite items that customers can look for on their first visit:

• 49 Cent Croissant: 49-cent butter croissants flown in from Europe and baked fresh daily
• Lidl Bon Gelati Mini Mix Ice Cream Bars: A Lidl-exclusive pack with 12 bars and four flavors, including milk chocolate, almond, white chocolate and dark chocolate. The bars are made without synthetic colors and use Rainforest Alliance Certified Cocoa.
