Man Indicted After Allegedly Throwing Bodily Fluid at Sheriff's Officer

Man was indicted on one charge of aggravated assault for the alleged action.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Neptune man on one charge of aggravated assault after he allegedly threw bodily fluids at an officer.

Jean Michel, 41, is accused of purposefully subjecting an officer to contact with a bodily fluid on Nov. 7. According to Michel’s indictment, he threw the fluid at the Officer. The officer was from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office and assigned to corrections.

The indictment further explained that the officer was in performance of his duties when the fluid was thrown. Michel’s charge of aggravated assault is considered a fourth degree crime.
