Monmouth County Republicans Are Re-Elected In Countywide Races
Monmouth County Commissioners Thomas Arnone, Nick DiRocco win new terms, as does Sheriff Shaun Golden.

FREEHOLD, NJ — The Republican incumbents for two Monmouth County Commissioner positions and for Monmouth County Sheriff have won re-election Tuesday night, according to unofficial election results.
For the two, three-year terms on the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners, incumbents Thomas "Tom" Arnone and Dominick "Nick" DiRocco were challenged by Democratic candidates Kristal Dias and Bonnie Kass-Viola.
Incumbent Sheriff Shaun Golden, a Republican, was being challenged by Democratic candidate Larry Luttrell of Holmdel. Golden is also the head of the Republican Party in Monmouth County.

According to Monmouth County bios on the incumbents:
Arnone is currently serving his fourth, three-year term, on the Monmouth County Board of Commissioners. In 2022, he was elected by his colleagues to serve as director of the board, a position he held in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 and deputy director in 2012 and 2013. Prior to his election as a commissioner, Arnone served as an elected official in Neptune City, including as mayor, from 2004 through 2010.
Dominick “Nick” DiRocco is currently serving his first, three-year term on the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners. Prior to joining the Commissioner Board, DiRocco served on the Wall Township Committee from 2014 through 2019 and served as Mayor in 2017.
Golden was re-elected to a fifth, three-year term. Prior to being elected sheriff in 2010, Golden served as undersheriff. He was a career law enforcement officer for 25 years in Monmouth County. He served as a police officer with the Colts Neck Police Department and the Toms River Police Department.
