National Night Out Events Planned In Monmouth County

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — National Night Out will take place on Tuesday, with towns and boroughs throughout Monmouth County set to participate in the annual community event.

Each year, National Night Out culminates on the first Tuesday in August, according to the National Night Out website.

The annual event aims to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community, and looks to provide an opportunity for police and neighbors to come together under positive circumstances.

National Night Out events throughout Monmouth County may feature food, games, giveaways and more.

Here are some of the local events planned for this year:

Freehold Township National Night Out

• Time: 5-9 p.m.
• Location: iPlay America (110 Schanck Road, Freehold)
• Details: Free rides, pizza, cotton candy and snacks, plus an opportunity to meet local police, fire and EMS and to explore emergency vehicles and equipment.

Freehold Borough National Night Out

• Time: 6-9 p.m.
• Location: Hall of Records Parking Lot
• Details: Giveaways, inflatables, a bicycle raffle, food and more, plus the opportunity to meet Freehold Borough police, fire and EMS.

Holmdel Township National Night Out

• Time: 6-8 p.m.
• Location: Town Hall
• Details: Games, demonstrations, food, music and more, plus the opportunity to meet local first responders and neighbors. Attendees can bring a non-perishable food item for St. Mark’s Kitchen.

Manalapan Township National Night Out

• Time: 5-8 p.m.
• Location: P.C. Richard & Sons (55 U.S. Highway 9 South)
• Details: Food, drinks, entertainment, giveaways and more, plus a K9 demo, petting zoo and touch-a-truck. Attendees will be able to meet local police officers and several emergency services organizations as well.

Marlboro Township National Night Out

• Time: 6-9 p.m.
• Location: Cambridge Square (Union Hill Road & Route 9)
• Details: Join Marlboro Police for their free family event and enjoy vendors, demos, ice cream and more.

Colts Neck National Night Out

• Time: 5-8 p.m.
• Location: Bucks Mill Park
• Details: Join Colts Neck Police, Colts Neck PBA Local 333 and the Colts Neck Alliance for free food, drinks, balloon art, giveaways and more at their National Night Out event.

Red Bank National Night Out

• Time: 6-9 p.m.
• Location: Count Basie Field
• Details: Meet Red Bank police officers while enjoying food, music, games and more. Attendees can also bring canned food items or toiletries as a donation to Lunch Break.

Wall Township National Night Out

• Time: 5-8 p.m.
• Location: Wall Police HQ (2700 Allaire Road)
• Details: Enjoy music, a Wall Police K9 Demonstration, balloon animals and more at Wall’s National Night Out event.
