New Freehold Wawa Celebrates Grand Opening Thursday
The new Freehold location has its grand opening event on Thursday. It will be the second Wawa in town.

FREEHOLD, NJ — The new Freehold Wawa is officially opened and that's plenty of cause for celebration.
The store announced they would hand out “Wawa Freehold, NJ” t-shirts for the first 100 customers that walked through the door at their grand opening event on Thursday, starting at 8 a.m.
The store is be located at the intersection of Route 9 and Elton Adelphia Road. It's the second Wawa in Freehold, with the first being on Route 33.

A total of 10 new locations were set to open this fall in New Jersey, including in Mount Holly, Jefferson and Bricktown.
The popular convenience store chain is most notable for its built-to-order hoagies and coffee.

Founded in 1803 as an iron foundry in New Jersey, the company opened in opened the first Wawa Food Market in 1964 as an outlet for dairy products.
Today, it has over 850 convenience retail stores along the east coast.
