No Arrests Yet In Freehold Shooting That Injured Man, Woman

Monmouth County authorities are investigating a Friday morning shooting in a Center Street home in Freehold; victims in stable condition.

FREEHOLD, NJ — A shooting that left two people injured on Friday morning in their borough home is under investigation, but no suspects have been arrested yet, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said Friday.

At approximately 7:14 a.m., members of the Freehold Borough Police Department went to the 70 block of Center Street for the report of a shooting, the prosecutor said.

Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims, a male and a female, suffering from gunshot wounds, according to authorities.

The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment and are in stable condition, the prosecutor's office said. Their identities were not released by authorities in the update on the shooting Friday evening.

Members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Bureau and the Freehold Borough Police Department continue to investigate the shooting, the prosecutor's office said.

There have been no arrests made "to this point," the prosecutor's office said Friday.
