Results In Freehold: Democratic Team Wins Mayor, Council Seats
In unofficial results, Mayor Kevin Kane was re-elected to office in Freehold, along with Councilman Michael DiBenedetto, Jeff Friedman.

FREEHOLD, NJ — Mayor Kevin A. Kane, a Democrat, was re-elected Tuesday, in unofficial results. Two Democratic Borough Council candidates also won election.
Incumbent Councilman Michael DiBenedetto and Council candidate Jeffrey Friedman were elected as part of the Democratic team. Councilman George Schnurr did not seek re-election. You can read more about the candidates at the Freehold Borough Democrats site.

Freehold Borough Mayor (Full term, vote for one):
- Kevin A. Kane (D) Monmouth County Democrats - 1,106
- Richard "Ricky" Gartz (R) Monmouth County Republican Organization - 831
Freehold Borough Council (Full term, vote for two):

- Michael DiBenedetto (D) Monmouth County Democrats - 1,143
- Jeffrey J. Friedman (D) Monmouth County Democrats - 1,095
- Autumn Nonnenmacher (R) Monmouth County Republican Organization - 771
- Keith Bailey (R) Monmouth County Republican Organization - 804
The election for Freehold Borough Board of Education was not contested. Here are the vote totals for the candidates for three, full-term spots:
- Tomi "Elisha" Carter - 1,175
- Sean Schittig - 1,061
- Joseph Santonacita - 1,104
There was also an uncontested election for a Freehold representative to the Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education, a one-year unexpired term.
