'SafeCam' Registry Could Help Freehold Twp. Police Solve Crimes
Residents or businesses can let Freehold Township police know they use video surveillance to aid in investigations.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, NJ — Township police are encouraging residents and business owners to let them know if they have a video surveillance system that might help authorities in tracking down certain crimes.
The program is called "SafeCam." Police are not always aware who has surveillance cameras and potentially vital information to help solve a crime, the department said.
With SafeCam, the public can voluntarily register their private video surveillance systems with the department and allow officers to contact them should a crime occur in or near where the camera is installed.
