Watch Out For Scam Phone Calls, Monmouth County Sheriff Warns
The scam involves callers claiming to be Sheriff's Office representatives and telling residents that they failed to report to court.
MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — The Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is warning residents of scam phone callers claiming to be MCSO representatives.
The warning comes after multiple residents reported calls from people who claimed to be representatives of the Sheriff’s Office and claimed that the individuals they were calling failed to report to court.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, no officer from MCSO will call to inform individuals for failure to appear, nor will they ask for money or claim an arrest warrant has been issued.
