3 Stole From Unlocked Cars, Stolen Credit Cards Used In South Jersey: Police
The three men stole from multiple unlocked vehicles in a string of burglaries throughout April and May in Egg Harbor Township, police said.
EGG HARBOR TWP., NJ — Three men were charged in connection with a string of vehicle burglaries in parts of Egg Harbor Township this past April and May, police said in a news release.
In each instance, unlocked vehicles were entered into overnight, resulting in the theft of property, police said. Some involved stolen credit cards, which were then used at various local businesses, according to police.
The string of burglaries occurred in the Cardiff and Bargaintown sections of the township.

Over the course of about four weeks, three suspects were identified. Court-authorized arrest warrants were obtained on May 22 for the following, police said:
- Jonah Nixon, 19, of Ocean City
- David Doyon, 21, of Pleasantville
- Charlie Eckert, 19, of Northfield
All three were charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft, conspiracy to commit burglary, and attempted burglary.

An additional arrest warrant for Nixon charged him with the following:
- Four additional counts of burglary
- Four counts of conspiracy to commit burglary
- Two counts of theft
- Two counts of attempted theft
- Multiple counts of credit card fraud
With the help of Ocean City police, Nixon and Doyon were taken into custody that day; they were lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Facility pending detention hearings.
Eckert remains at large and is currently wanted on an active warrant for this case, police said.
Egg Harbor Township police reminded residents to lock their cars, as vehicle burglaries often happen when they are left unlocked. Police also say to remove all valuables from their vehicles and promptly report suspicious activity.
