Annual Decoy Show Sets Return To South Jersey

The 29th Annual NJ Decoy Collectors Association's Decoy, Art & Hunting Collectibles Show & Sale is set for April 1 at the Seaview Hotel.

GALLOWAY, NJ — Join decoy collectors and carvers, wildlife and conservation enthusiasts, art lovers and families at what is described as "the best old decoy show in the country."

The 29th Annual NJ Decoy Collectors Association's Decoy, Art & Hunting Collectibles Show & Sale is set for April 1 at the Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway.

This one-day event, running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., offers family fun, appraisals, food, raffles and the opportunity to meet some of the top carvers and collectors in the nation, according to a news release.

Exhibitors will be showcasing everything from decoys, shorebirds and songbirds to wildlife artwork and photography.

While the price for some antique decoys can be high, the release promises there will be something for all budgets at the show.

Admission is $5. Children are free.

Visitors to the show can meet the NJ Decoy Collectors Association's "Carver of the Year 2023," Ms. Nancee Jo Luciani of Toms River. There will also be a "Show & Tell" seminar by renowned carver Bob White of Tullytown, PA at 1:30 p.m.

The NJ Decoy Collectors Association is a group of over 200 collectors and carvers formed 50 years ago who share an interest in decoys. They meet monthly (except December) on the 4th Tuesday of the month at the Manahawkin Elks Lodge, 520 Hilliard Blvd., Manahawkin.
