Leonardo, New Jersey Artist Earmarks Her Art Sale Donation, as Catalyst for Local Ocean Organizations
After years of working on her vibrant, oceanic textiles, Julia Muench’s original new artwork, Chromatic Warrior, has been accepted into a renowned New Jersey Arts exhibit in Atlantic City, beginning February, 2023.
The artist was surprised and honored, yet, she needed to make a decision. “I could just have the art up for exhibit, and let it go at that, or have this abstract ‘sea-life’ art piece, be a way of
actually protecting the ocean, via a donated portion from the sale of it.”
Muench’s artwork, known for being vibrant, healing and whimsical, has been accepted by jury, into the prestigious Mother Nature versus Human Nature exhibit at the Noyes Museum of Art’s: Arts Garage https://www.arts- garageac.com located in the Atlantic City Arts District.
“I had grown quite attached to the work itself, and it took me almost a year to create and finish. (Chromatic Warrior measures 52x72 inches)
At the same time, I felt this particular piece could be a catalyst in helping out some of our local ocean organizations.”
Chromatic Warrior is intricately embroidered, hand beaded, quilted and full of personality.
Of course, this donation is contingent upon the sale of Chromatic Warrior, which will be shown at the museum, February through June 2023.
So, if you are one who appreciates art, and cares about the environment, you can head over to the Atlantic City Arts district to check out the masterwork in person. The museum exhibit also includes 103 selected NJ artists across the state. https://www.artsgarageac. com The Opening Reception is on February 4th, 1-4PM and the museum exhibit runs through June 24th.
“Perhaps, someone will want to purchase my artwork and be a contributor in helping our planet, who knows?” contemplates the artist. To see more details of Julia’s textile artworks: https://www.artworkarchive.com/profile/julia- muench.
