Closure Set For Great Creek Road In Galloway: Police
A detour will be in place from Nov. 28 through 30, Galloway police said.
GALLOWAY, NJ — Drivers who use Great Creek Road will need to follow a detour this week as the road will be closed through Thursday.
Galloway police announced Tuesday morning that the road would be closed through Nov. 30 between Wrangleboro Road and Pitney Road from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
A detour will be in place utilizing Wrangleboro Road, Jimmie Leeds Road and Pitney Road.

Elaine Drive will be closed at Dennis Drive, detouring traffic down Dennis Drive out to Pitney Road.
Mattix Run is only accessible from the Wrangleboro Rd intersection with Great Creek Road.

Officers will be stationed at Wrangleboro Road and Great Creek Road and at Pitney Road and Great Creek Road to assist, according to police.
Due to the nature of the work, a full closure is necessary on Great Creek Road at Elaine Drive. However, local traffic will be permitted eastbound off of Wrangleboro Road and westbound off of Pitney Road up to Elaine Drive. Use caution in the area.
