Coaches Fight Over South Jersey Singer On 'The Voice' Premiere

GALLOWAY, NJ — Galloway got a shoutout on national television Monday night with the season premiere of NBC's "The Voice" as a local singer stunned all four coaches.

Mara Justine, 21, wowed the audience with her rendition of Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," prompting the four celebrity judges to turn their chairs in hopes they would be her coach before Justine even reached the chorus.

"They make 'em different in Jersey," quipped coach Niall Horan.

Horan walked up to Justine on the stage and even got on his knees at one point, hoping she would pick him.

Fellow coach John Legend hopped up for an impromptu duet of his hit song "All of Me" as a way to sway Justine into choosing him instead.

The episode ended with a cliffhanger, and fans will find out who she picked Tuesday night.

Justine has already been on a few other TV shows - she made it to the Top 12 on "America's Got Talent" when she was just 11, and at 15, made it to the Top 15 on "American Idol."
