Cops: South Jersey Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of Teen
The assaults occurred between August 2014 and September 2015, authorities say

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — A city man infected with the herpes virus has been charged with the sexual assault of a female teenager after a lengthy investigation.
Santos Torres, 76, was arrested on April 24 by members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department and charged with a number of sexual offenses, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said.
Torres was charged with sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal sexual contact and committing an act of sexual penetration by a diseased person, Tyner said.

The investigation was led by Detective Daniel Choe and Sergeant Carlton Durham of the Prosecutor's Special Victims Unit.The state has moved to detain Torres, pending his detention hearing.
The assaults by Torres, who is infected with the herpes virus, occurred between August 2014 and September 2015, according to The Press of Atlantic City.
