Egg Harbor Twp.'s Amie Nardone Is Dedicated 'Beyond Measure'

EGG HARBOR TWP., NJ — Great teachers matter. In Egg Harbor Township, we're fortunate to have teachers like Amie Nardone.

How do you know the teacher?

She is my daughter and I work with her.

What does this person teach?

She currently teachers technology to second and third graders.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

She has numerous talents that embrace and touch children’s lives. She constantly looks for activities that reach all the talents of the children. For years she has been the supervisor of a program called Renaissance. Each month she had special activities for the children that would have the children win recognition for outstanding accomplishments in school. These activities would recognize children who demonstrated qualities such as kindness.. sharing..caring..patience..honesty . One example is every March Madness children would win basketballs once a week. One child from every classroom would win each week for a month. She would with the after school stem program giving the children the opportunity to do hands on projects with robotics or designing projects. Sha helped organize and run the yearly talent show for two schools . She helped organize and run the Valentine Day dance for two schools.All very successful.She created a program called Kidmittee. that had various jobs to do through out the year. They organized and collected food for the local food bank. They did another drive for items for an animal rescue organization. Their actives were numerous throughout the year. I could continue on but there are no words that can summarize her love and pride of school. During the pandemic, Amie was up all hours of the night helping teachers get their lessons prepared for next day on their computers because Amie was the only one that understood the technology required to create their slides for each lesson. The teachers sang her praises and were so grateful. She stay by their side morning , noon and night. Her dedication to her district is unmeasurable. She recently gained Nationwide recognition from Renaissance for outstanding work. She the Silver Certificate for Swift/Slaybaugh School from Renaissance. Her district was one of three in the whole nation on the elementary level to win. I hope she is recognized for her service beyond the classroom and in the classroom.
