Enjoy Dinner And A Show At Ventnor Restaurant

South Jersey Players is returning to Aroma Restaurant for their second year of dinner theater, showcasing new works with good food.

VENTNOR, NJ — Dinner and a show in Ventnor will kick off next month when theater troupe South Jersey Players returns to Aroma Restaurant for their second season of dinner theater.

A plated dinner will be served including Caesar salad, chicken parmigano or rigatoni alla vodka, and dessert with coffee or tea, South Jersey Players said in a news release. Aroma is also currently undergoing reservations to add a bar.

"South Jersey Players at Aroma debuted a first of its kind dinner theater last season and is excited to return with fully-produced new works," South Jersey Players said. "Dinner in a fine restaurant and high-quality community theater is a match 'made in heaven.'"

Aroma’s owner, Tony Hoda and manager, Rebecca Arra, have been planning this event with
South Jersey Players president, Marlene May, for several months. They said that they are excited to be showcasing this unique form of entertainment to the area.

The five featured plays are ten-minute comedies written by local and emerging playwrights:
Edward Shakespeare, Tom Chin, Jim O'Hara, and Peter Dukatis. Local actors will bring the works to life.

Classical guitarist Reid Alburger will play during dinner. Comedian Scott Friedman will MC the event, with Jim Erickson as technical director.

The plays will be performed Tuesdays in March: 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 6 p.m. Tickets are $45 per person including tax and tip. For reservations call 347-920-6399.
