Expect Delays Due To Bicyclists In Atlantic Co. This Weekend

ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — Delays are expected in Atlantic County this weekend as bicyclists participating in the MS City to Shore Ride descend on the area.

Thousands participate in this fall tradition that raises millions of dollars for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society each year.

The route begins in Cherry Hill and ends in Ocean City, traveling through Atlantic County.

On Sept. 24 and 25, roads that will be impacted, in Galloway and Hamilton, are:

  • Leipzig Ave (from Galloway Township) to Almond Ave
  • Cologne Ave (from Almond Ave to Denmead Drive)
  • Black Horse Pike (Rt. 322) at the intersection with Cologne Ave
  • Route 40 at Dr. Dennis Foreman Drive
  • Rt. 40 at Babcock Road
  • Somers Point/ML Road (CR 559) at Babcock Road

All roads will remain open, except for CR 559 south of Ocean Heights Avenue. The southbound lane will be closed on Saturday. Only residents will be allowed access.

Delays are anticipated on Sept. 24 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on Sept. 25 between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m.

"Please stay alert and be cautious of the cyclists while driving," Hamilton police said.
