First-Ever Cheesesteak Egg Roll Eating Contest Set For Atlantic City
World champion Joey Chestnut will face off against fellow competitive eaters on Sept. 30 to eat as many cheesesteak egg rolls as possible.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Competitive eaters from across the country - including world champion Joey Chestnut - will convene in Atlantic City on Sept. 30 for the first-ever Cheesesteak Egg Roll Eating Championship.
Eaters will compete for $5,000 in cash prizes, along with the new cheesesteak egg roll title in the newest addition to Major League Eating’s 2023 slate of sanctioned competitions.
Contestants have eight minutes to scarf down as many cheesesteak egg rolls as possible.

“Cheesesteak egg rolls are a feat of multi-cultural culinary innovation, and a thrilling addition to Major League's circuit of sanctioned competitions. Major League Eating’s best competitors will bring their A-game to Atlantic City to set the first official world record in this discipline,” said Major League Eating host Mike Sullivan.
The contest will take place on the boardwalk at Resorts Casino Hotel and will support the new food menu at DraftKings Sportsbook, located in the Resorts boardwalk lobby area.

Joey Chestnut, the number one-ranked competitive eater, set a world record by eating 23 6-inch Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches in 10 minutes, while Geoffrey Esper, the second-ranked competitive eater, holds the world record for eating 32.25 4-ounce Outlaw Egg Rolls in just eight minutes.
