Man Who Shot 2 Jersey Shore Teens, Killing 1, Caught In Philadelphia, Prosecutor Says

Louis Jackson, 23, was identified as the man who shot a 15-year-old and 17-year-old, killing one and injuring the other, officials say.

GALLOWAY, NJ — Authorities have captured the man they say is responsible for shooting two teenagers, killing one and injuring the other, last month in Atlantic City.

Louis Jackson, a 23-year-old from Galloway, was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon by the FBI and Philadelphia police in Philadelphia, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office. He was arrested on a warrant for the murder of a 15-year-old boy identified as J.S. and for the attempted murder of a 17-year-old boy identified as M.P., both from Atlantic City.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 7, police responded to a report of shots fired on Arkansas Avenue, officials said. J.S. was found with multiple gunshot wounds and M.P. had a gunshot wound to the face, authorities said. J.S. was pronounced dead at the hospital; M.P. was treated and expected to survive, according to officials.

Jackson fled the scene before police arrived, officials said. The FBI tracked him to Philadelphia, where he was caught.
