Galloway Police Charge Local Man With Drunken Driving After Crash

Kyle Francis, 32, passed a number of cars in a no-passing zone before accident, police say

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Police here recently charged a township man with drunk driving after he crashed into another car in the area of South New York Road and Biscayne Avenue.

Kyle Francis was traveling north on South York Road in his Chevy Equinox at 5:15 p.m. on April 2 when he passed a number of vehicles in a no-passing zone. His vehicle struck the driver's side of a Nissan Sentra driven by Michael Cramer 49, as Cramer turned off South New York Road and onto Biscayne Avenue, police said.

Cramer was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center's mainland campus with non life-threatening injuries.

Kyle Francis was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, and improper passing. Additional charges are pending the outcome of further investigation, police said.

Traffic on South New York Road was reduced to a single alternating line of traffic for roughly an hour. Officers Cody Traut and Kenneth Snuffer responded.
