Galloway Police Charge Man With Drunk Driving After Crash

Township man charged with driving under the influence, assault by auto after he crashes into building

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Police have arrested a township man and charged him with drunk driving after he ran a stop sign on 6th Avenue, crossed over a curb, went airborne and crashed into a building.

Police responded to the Amera gas station at 300 East White Horse Pike at 11:59 p.m. on April 6 on a report of a pickup truck that had crashed into a building. They found that a Ford F150 driven by Douglas Kane, 35, had struck a building in the rear of the property.

Front seat passenger Stewart McGibbon, 32, Egg Harbor Township, suffered an elbow injury and was taken to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center's Mainland Division for treatment.

Kane was uninjured and was arrested for driving under the influence and assault by auto. He was processed and released pending a future court date.crashing into the building, police said.

The case is investigation Officers Kaitlyn Reyes and Steven Garrison.
