Greater Egg Harbor Regional Schools Among NJ's Best: New Ranking
All three Greater Egg Harbor Regional high schools are among the best in New Jersey, according to a new Niche ranking:
ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — Greater Egg Harbor Regional high schools rank among the best in all of New Jersey, according to a new ranking by Niche.
The 2025 Best Public High Schools in America ranking, released Monday, shows the best traditional public high schools in the nation, including magnet and charter schools.
Niche said its rankings, now in the 10th year, differ from others that rely almost exclusively on test scores and academic performance in that it also includes input from students, alumni and parents, as well as quantitative data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources and facilities.

Cedar Creek High School comes in at number 111 out of 430 best public high schools, according to Niche. And Absegami High School ranks at number 171. Both are also among the most diverse public high schools in the state and are great for athletes, according to Niche. They both got an "A-" ranking by the website.
Oakcrest High School, with a "B+" ranking, comes it at number 205. It's also the most diverse public high school in Atlantic County, and the third most diverse in the entire state, according to Niche.

In Atlantic County, Cedar Creek is the second-best high school, while Absegami is fourth and Oakcrest is sixth.
The company said its rankings were created to provide families with valuable information — both quantitative and qualitative — on schools in their area or in a neighborhood they’re not familiar with yet. As in previous years, the Best Schools rankings include categories for boarding schools and private schools, including religious schools, among many others.
