Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Kristin has been teaching for over 20 years, all of which have been at Alder Avenue Middle School in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. She has a way with students that makes them want to do their best. Even the most challenging students work hard for Kristin because of her kindhearted, nurturing demeanor. She advises the Unified Sport and Club program at her school, which allows students with and without disabilities to engage in sports and school clubs together. She is patient, kind, and approachable. She respects all students, and they in turn respect her. The administration looks to her to help with the difficult students, because with her, they are not difficult. She was named Teacher of the Year in 2018, and wore that badge with honor. In addition to her regular teaching schedule, she conducts Home Instruction after school hours, as well as tutoring. And she does all this while raising her two children, as a single mom. When Kristin is dedicated to something, she leads with her heart and goes above and beyond to be successful. There is no one more deserving of this recognition than Kristin.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

She doesn’t like the spotlight, but she is well deserving of recognition and to be celebrated.
