NJ-Based Spirit Halloween Gets A Christmas Makeover

EGG HARBOR TWP., NJ — It seems like the holidays creep up earlier and earlier each year. This will be especially so in Mays Landing this year, as it will be home to the brand-new flagship "Spirit Christmas" store, a new seasonal undertaking by Spirit Halloween, based in Egg Harbor Township.

"Spirit Christmas is a new concept for us, and we're hopeful it will resonate with our customers," a company spokesperson told Patch. "Our goal is to create a festive retail experience that captures the spirit of the season, much like we do for Halloween."

Ten Spirit Christmas stores will open this holiday season in the Northeast, with the Mays Landing location opening on Oct. 18. The others, including New Jersey locations in Brick, Woodbridge and Marlton, will open at some point in early November, the spokesperson told Patch. And much like their Halloween counterparts, these stores will be pop-up locations, only lasting through the holiday season.

These locations appear to be test stores, though a spokesperson did not reveal if there are plans to open more in forthcoming holiday seasons.

Spirit Halloween said that the Christmas stores would each offer a unique experience. Guests will be able to shop for holiday décor, apparel, gifts, inflatables and stocking stuffers.

It's not just shopping, though. You can also meet Santa Claus himself and take a photo with him. Wander through a life-sized gingerbread village and mail your letter to Santa. You'll also apparently be able to find out if you've been naughty or nice. You can book your Santa visit at SpiritChristmas.com.
