• Man Pulled From Burning Galloway Home: Police (patch.com) — Galloway residents are learning more about an early-morning house fire in the Smithville section, where two local police officers serving as volunteer firefighters pulled a man from a burning home. The homeowner is in intensive care at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, while multiple agencies and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office continue investigating the cause of the blaze.
   

• Holiday Drunk Driving Crackdown Kicks Off In NJ (patch.com) — Galloway police will receive $8,750 to step up DWI patrols and checkpoints during New Jersey’s “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” holiday crackdown running through Jan. 1, 2026. The statewide campaign funds 125 departments to target impaired driving, which historically spikes this time of year, and officials are urging residents to plan safe rides home.
